Seasonal greetings, Friends! With the current cold weather, we can "feel it in our bones," but hopefully we all have warm, cozy nests we can snuggle in at day's end. Has your "nest" developed some drafty spots, or leaky gutters? There is low-cost house maintenance available to us through the SCC Home Repair service. Call the Senior Center at 327-2811 and ask for Home Repair. They will do all kinds of things -- fix drippy faucets, install grab-bars in showers, you name it, all at nominal charge.
On a different note, there are two surveys in this issue of our newsletter, and I urge you all to respond, and return both. I have been on our BPA Emergency Preparedness Committee for ten years, and helped develop the current questionnaire. I want to give you my personal assurance that the information gleaned will be used ONLY for our mutual aid in a time of disaster, is confidential, and will NOT be used for any other purpose.
The other survey is a chance for you to express your personal preferences as to what will or will not be planted to enhance our own Bol Park. Remember, this is OUR park, and we can all have a say in what is done there.
So again, please return these surveys promptly, and let your voice be heard.
Have a Happy Holiday Season, stay warm, stay healthy, and I'll see you next year! -- Katie
